My name is María Novo Cano. I was born in Almuñécar, a seaside town on Spain’s Mediterranean coast, where my creative universe is shaped by the Mediterranean light, dance, art, and cultural diversity. From an early age,
I developed a strong sensitivity towards fashion, influenced by the excellence, attention to detail, and craftsmanship I learned from my mother.
My journey began at the intersection of communication and fashion business. I studied Advertising and Public Relations in Madrid and expanded my education with an MBA in Fashion & Beauty Business Administration, alongside studies in Design and Fashion Collection Architecture at Istituto Marangoni in Milan. For more than eight years, I worked in the digital fashion industry for companies such as El Corte Inglés and Fiftyx, among others, developing a strategic understanding of the digital industry through areas such as e-commerce, marketing, and omnichannel management.
Over time, I felt the need to explore fashion’s more emotional language and reoriented my career towards fashion styling and fashion consulting. Since then, I have been translating ideas into visual narratives where aesthetics, identity, and emotion come together naturally.
Since 2023, I have been developing projects as a freelance fashion stylist, collaborating on fashion editorials, advertising campaigns, music videos, fashion films, and red carpet styling. I have worked on projects with RoomService 039, publications such as Elle Magazine, L’Officiel, and Numéro Netherlands, as well as production companies including The Panda Bear Show and The Pink Bang, among others.
Each project represents an opportunity to create purposeful imagery, capable of telling stories and building authentic connections between brands, talent, and audiences.
My work is defined by a contemporary perspective, meticulous attention to detail, and a way of understanding fashion as an ever-evolving visual language.
